So many times we believe what others say what we are. We then receive that affirmation to make us feel worthwhile. However, when we receive criticism we feel like a failure. Well I have chosen to ride the roller coaster of emotions, instead of believing perceptions about me which may happen to be untrue. We try to work hard to prove that we are worthwhile, yet every time we mess up or fail, we are reminded that we will never measure up. The alternative to this rather; would be to stop trying to prove yourself to others. We work hard to have a certain position in the eyes of others,whom you find to be exactly just like you at the end of the day - to be well-liked and to have popularity,only to have a reputation which takes only a moment to make, as opposed to building a character which takes you a lifetime to build. Get your worth from God, whom has already given it to you - remember his grace. Rest in the knowledge of who you are and you can never go wrong with that. Until then...
